Harrison, a dedicated Arizona stonemason who has built homes and businesses for the past 35 years, beloved father and husband, was recently diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. We are grateful that his diagnosis came early enough to explore treatment options and fight this disease aggressively.

For many years, Harrison has had coverage through the Indian Health Care Improvement Act for his medical needs. However, this act does not cover cancer patients who reside outside of their tribal reservations. His application for Native American AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) was unfortunately rejected. As a result, Harrison and his family will need to navigate significant out-of-pocket costs and co-pays that his current insurance cannot fully cover.

As you can imagine, this diagnosis has turned Harrison and his wife Priscilla's world upside down. Both will need to reduce their work hours to focus on his health and recovery. Between mounting medical bills and everyday living expenses, the financial burden will be substantial.
