My sweet granddaughter, Harlie Rae Herald, decided to show up a bit early, around 5 weeks early! She was transported via ambulance to Pikeville from Whitesburg about 5 hours after she arrived. She originally was on a CPAP but was soon put on a ventilator. She was extubated last night, but they are discussing putting her back on the ventilator to let her body rest. She is also having complications from not being able to eat yet. She can't be held but still needs her mommy and daddy close by.

Brittany and Mark weren't quite ready for her arrival and want to spend as much time with their baby girl. Working right now is difficult, and Brittany doesn't get maternity leave. Any donation would definitely be appreciated to help with transportation, hotel room, meals and other expenses while our sweet baby girl is in the NICU in Pikeville.
