Hello friends its Vaughan Lucas here , my son Harley who is now 33 has been diagnosed with astrocytoma stage 2 brain cancer, although they say it is terminal with a lot of help we are going to beat the this beast and this is why i am reaching out to you.
As anyone who knows Harley will tell you, he is the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. Now, it’s our turn to rally around him.
This journey has already brought major challenges. Harley can no longer drive due to his diagnosis, and getting to and from hospital appointments has become complicated and costly. Funds raised will help cover transport expenses, ensuring he can safely get to his treatments without added stress.
Additionally, Harley and Jess had spent their savings for a big move to Perth, which they now have to relocate to Melbourne. This has contributed to the financial strain as now they both will be without income throughout the treatment process.
The donations will go toward medical treatments, including some alternative therapies and organic medicine and food that can support his healing. These options are vital, but unfortunately, they come with significant out-of-pocket costs.
If you know Harley, you know he would never ask for help himself. In fact, he was hesitant about us setting up this page because he doesn’t want anyone to feel burdened. But we also know that Harley would be the first in line to help a friend or family member in need, no questions asked. Again, we wouldn't ask if we didn't need it.
Now, we’re asking for your support. Whether it’s a donation, a share, suggestions or a kind message. To help give Harley every possible chance in this fight. There has been no donation goal set, as we are grateful for all contributions, large or small. Every little bit helps, and we are deeply grateful for the love and kindness shown to our family during this time.
Thank you for being part of Harley’s journey.
