Hi, I’m Harlene. I’m 37 years old, living with Muscular Dystrophy. The progression of my condition has been overwhelming—I often feel like I’m trapped, as though life is slipping away from me. But through it all, I hold onto my faith, trusting that God has a purpose for everything.

I long for the freedom to leave my home, enjoy the outdoors, and live life beyond the confines of these walls. Right now, the biggest obstacle is the lack of a safe, reliable, wheelchair-accessible van. Without it, I rely entirely on others to go anywhere, which isn’t sustainable in the long run. I want to reclaim my independence—not just for myself but also to ease the burden on my life companion, who carries so much on her shoulders with unwavering love and strength.

I’m asking for your help to make a life-changing difference. A brand-new customized wheelchair-accessible van costs around $80,000, but even a reliable used one if I get lucky for $25,000-$30,000 would transform my world. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring me closer to this goal.
