Our business is about to celebrate 8 years as Harlem and New York City's only Black-owned chocolate shop. This milestone comes with an incredible opportunity to grow and thrive. We recently signed 3 major brand deals (we can't say their names just yet, but it's major!!!!). Over the past decade, we've worked hard to serve our community, but like many small businesses, we've faced challenges along the way.

If you've ever been to our shop, you know it's small. We are literally between a rock and a hard place. We have always had so many great opportunities come along, and we've done our best to fulfill them, but it's left us in a never-ending cycle of barely breaking even. Unfortunately, we've struggled to secure financing; it's either extremely expensive or just not enough, and the timing of this opportunity means we need help from our community to keep operating. We are moving to a wholesale model and restructuring our shop operations until we can find a larger location in Harlem and bring on true investors. To do that, we need to satisfy some debts and hire key staff. These specific deals require working capital to buy packaging and chocolate and to make deposits so we can fulfill the invoices.
