Support Harlan Ashe's Journey to Stability

Hello, friends, family, and all others who know Harlan Ashe, our friend needs our help.

As many of you may know, Harlan was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis about eight years ago. In the summer of 2023, he was hospitalized with COVID. The illness hit him especially hard because his immune system is compromised and initially left him unable to walk and progressed his cognitive challenges. With a stay at a rehabilitation facility and a lot of physical and occupational therapy, he is able to walk again with the assistance of a walker, but his cognitive challenges have persisted, leaving him still unable to work over a year later.

He has applied for disability, but as we all know, it is a process. He does have a lawyer handling his case, and he is hoping to hear something in the next six months. Meanwhile, he needs help with living expenses. He has exhausted his savings. He has applied and is on the waiting list for more suitable living arrangements. If he gets evicted from where he's living now, he will no longer be eligible for the assistance program he has applied for.

We are asking for six months of living expenses to help take this burden off of him and bridge the gap until his disability comes through. This would cover his rent and utilities, and if by chance, he is able to move into the new living arrangement before that six months is up, the money would help him move and get settled into the new apartment.
