Tania and her husband Fred Harbec are my lifelong friends. Tania (maiden name Iturralde) has been one of my best friends since we met at Lely High School our 10th grade year. Nobody deserves to be helped more than her and Fred! Fred is currently fighting stage 4 cancer, and the journey has been incredibly tough for both of them. Fred has been unable to work due to his illness. Although Tania works, their current income just isn't enough to cover their necessities, Fred's medication, and all the other costs that come with fighting cancer.

Supporting Fred and Tania will allow them to afford trips to the cancer specialist, pay for costly co-pays on medications and therapies, and will also help lessen the burden of unpaid bills at home. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in their lives and help them focus on what matters most—Fred's health and well-being.

Together, Fred and Tania raised three beautiful boys and are now grandparents. They have worked so hard their entire lives, Fred as a professional crabber (fisherman) here in SW Florida, and Tania raising their boys and working full-time jobs. These two are not afraid of hard work and love their family more than anything.

The Harbecs are hardworking people who have never asked for a handout from anyone. Asking for donations is a very hard thing for them to do, but your kindness and support would mean the world to them during this difficult time.
