Support Hanon Pursue Musical Dream in Europe
Donation protected
Hello, I am Hanon Inatomi, a Japanese violinist currently studying in Belgium. As a musician, it is my dream to make people around the world happy through music - just like it did for me.
I have been studying violin at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium since September 2020 and just completed my Bachelor. I still have much to learn, so I want to enter the Master program in order to keep growing in my art and take steps in building a career in Belgium.
However, because of the continuing depreciation of the yen against the euro and my younger brother entering college next year, my family can no longer financially support me. This news surprised me very much, and I now need to find a way to support myself while studying music in Leuven.
In these past three years, I have been working hard for my dream and I do not want to waste my efforts here. I don't want to give up on my dream no matter what.
I have managed to negotiate with my parents, and it looks like they will be able to pay for half of this year's tuition, but I will not be able to pay the rest of it as it is.
So I need your help with €3821 half of the annual tuition fees to study at the graduate Master program. (The annual tuition fee is €7642.)
Why don't you apply for a scholarship?
→At this time of the year, most scholarship applications are closed.
Japanese scholarships are not an option, since one of the application conditions is residing in Japan, and I live officially in Belgium. Many Japanese art scholarships also require applicants to go to a designated venue for the second round of practical skills screening and interviews in Japan, which is difficult to schedule and would raise the cost due to the travel expenses.
Why don't you have a part-time job (student job)?
→Of course I plan to work . However, I have to earn money for living expenses and rent. Considering how international students are limited to 20 hours of work per week, the money I can earn by working will be needed just to support my basic cost of living. Also, I will have to repay the loan I took out for the Bachelor program from my income.
I believe that music can enrich lives and save people's hearts.
I truly believe in the power of music.
First of all, I plan to work hard every day to expand my musical activities with the goal of joining a European orchestra after graduating from university.
I will not be able to give supporters any kind of reward as it is now, but I plan to keep you updates on my musical activities here and eventually hold privates concert to express my gratitude to my supporters.
Thank you for a lot of your kindness supporting!
