Hannah, my niece, was in a devastating motorcycle accident that has changed her life in an instant. She broke her tibia and fibula, and is missing two inches of her tibia. When the motorcycle caught fire, Hannah was trapped underneath, suffering third-degree burns on her leg. She was rushed to Aurora in Green Bay for emergency surgery to stabilize her leg, then flown by Flight for Life to the Madison Burn Center for specialized care. Since the accident, Hannah has endured multiple procedures, including burn treatments, repairs to facial injuries, and ongoing surgeries. She also suffered an orbital fracture, lacerations on her face, and road rash on her hand. Despite everything, Hannah remains strong and hopeful as she faces a long road to recovery.
