Brian Weddle was a loving father who cherished every moment with his three children—Abigail (14), Henry (10), and Leah (9). He found joy in taking Henry fishing and loved camping trips with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Brian's warmth and devotion to his family were evident in the time he spent with his children, and his presence is deeply missed by all who knew him. The sad truth is that the terminal solitude of addiction left this young family without a father.
On October 29th, after a long and difficult struggle with addiction, Brian passed away. His wife, Hannah, is now facing the holidays as a single mother, doing her best to provide comfort and stability for their children during this heartbreaking time. The family is also coping with unexpected expenses, including the cost of Brian's cremation, which was generously covered by their grandmother, age 75.
Currently, all of Brian’s accounts and assets are solely in his name, and due to administrative delays and probate processing, these funds are temporarily inaccessible. This has left Hannah and the children in a period of financial limbo, making immediate community support crucial for their needs right now. With the holidays approaching, the need for support is greater than ever as Hannah works to meet the family's immediate needs—groceries, bills, school supplies, and holiday support for Abigail, Henry, and Leah.
We are reaching out to our GCISD community to help lift up Brian's family as they navigate their first Christmas without him. Your kindness and generosity will help ease the burden on Hannah and ensure the children have the support they need while the family navigates this transition. Please consider making a contribution to honor Brian's memory and support his family during this difficult season. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for standing with the Weddle family.
