Support Hannah's Family After Devastating Flood
Donation protected
My name is Hannah, and I am desperately reaching out on behalf of my family for help.
Last night, our home on Bayshore in Punta Gorda, Florida was destroyed by flooding during Hurricane Helene. After fighting for hours to mitigate the rush of water pouring in, we were finally overwhelmed and were forced to evacuate for our safety. We waded through waist-high water, carrying nothing but our animals and an emergency bag until we were finally able to get a ride to a safe location. We managed to get out safely with our dog (Lucy) and two cats (Kayla and Hulk), but we lost all of our belongings, including both cars due to water damage. In a matter of hours, we watched everything we worked hard for wash away around us.
I am a student at SCF for nursing, and I also work at a local restaurant. My mother passed away just last year, and the only family I have is my 71-year-old retired father. My boyfriend is a Marine Corps veteran and manager at a local restaurant. Together we have worked hard to build a life together and had hopes of opening up our own business in the community someday.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference as we work to reclaim our lives. Your generosity will help us with basic necessities, pet food/supplies, secure temporary housing, transportation, and begin the long process of rebuilding what we've lost.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and love…
