Support Hannah's Burn Recovery Journey

My name is Mercedes Robertson (Slaughterbeck) and this is my best friend, Hannah McGuckin. She is one of the kindest souls you'll ever come across. Hannah is 25, a student, and newly engaged. She is building a life with her amazingly supportive fiancé, Michael, who is currently serving in the US Navy and is stationed in California. Hannah is working very hard getting her degree in cybersecurity and working full-time to support herself.

On Saturday, Hannah was involved in a grease fire at her home while cooking. She lives in a condo, and when fight or flight kicked in, the only thing she could think to do was to take the pan outside to prevent the fire from spreading. While doing this, she unfortunately was burned with the hot grease, causing severe 2nd-3rd degree burns across her whole body, including her face, both arms, chest, neck, and right leg. She has since been hospitalized in a burn unit where she receives daily debridements (which are extremely painful). She will be able to receive a skin graft on all of her burns sometime this week, which her medical team is hopeful will aid in a quicker recovery. Her fiancé, Michael, was thankfully able to come home to support her in her recovery.

Anyone who knows Hannah can attest that she never asks for help with anything, and she is always there for everyone. This time she needs help (even though she still won't admit it <3). Hannah's home that she owns suffered damage as a result of the fire. She has homeowners insurance with a $1000 deductible. Her medical team is still unsure of how long she will be hospitalized, let alone how long it will be before she can return to work. In addition, she will have to rehabilitate with her parents in her family home while her home is being repaired. When doing this, she has to relocate her two cats. I would like to be able to take some of the financial burden off of her as bills should be the last thing on her mind in her recovery. Any money received will be for medical bills, home repair bills, or any other expenses she may have through her recovery journey.
