Support Hannah Swarms's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Update as of 2/17/2025: Hi everyone, just wanted to catch you up on where Hannah is at in her treatments. She finished her 16 rounds of chemotherapy- amazing job, Hannah, we know it wasn’t easy!

She just had another MRI to see how the cancer responded to the chemotherapy. The cancer did get smaller and is now undetectable in some areas, but due to the size of the main tumor and an area behind it, Hannah will proceed with a mastectomy in 5 weeks. After that she will meet with radiation oncology to discuss radiation treatment.

Hannah has already come so far, but still a lot left in her journey fighting this cancer. We thank you all for checking in and for the continued support! Please continue praying for Hannah and her family. As the new year rolls around so does the new insurance expenses/ copays. Please consider supporting financially if you are able. Thank you all!!
Update as of 8/16/24: The MRI scan of the breast found another mass in the same breast. Hannah had a second biopsy in that area on 8/13 which showed cancer as well. The next step is for Hannah to get a port, that surgery will be on Monday 8/19/24. She is getting the port so they can start chemotherapy. Please continue to keep Hannah, her family, and her care team in your prayers!

My cousin, Hannah Swarms, had her life turned upside on July 18, 2024 when she received a diagnosis of invasive ductal carcinoma—breast cancer—at just 30 years old. Unfortunately, the cancer has already spread to five lymph nodes in her axilla/armpit.

To fight this cancer, Hannah will go through testing, procedures, chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Her commute to the cancer center is 40 miles each way, adding an additional burden on top of everything else.

Hannah is a wonderful woman: wife to Aaron, mom to almost-6-year-old Silas, a member of open heart foursquare church, and a teacher's aide. She loves to spend time with her family—especially playing with Silas and sharing fun experiences together or going on walks with their dog, Desmond. At this time, we don't know how treatment will affect her ability to work, but we do know that life is going to change pretty dramatically.

We're asking for support in any way you're able to provide it. If you're in a position to donate to this fundraiser, we ask earnestly that you do so—any amount helps. If you're not, prayers, cards, messages, calls, and texts are coveted. Sharing this fundraiser is also a huge help!

We want Hannah to be able to focus on her healing and her family without having to worry too much about the cost associated with fighting cancer. Fighting cancer is takes a huge mental, physical, and emotional toll even before you think about the financial aspect.
