On June 25, 2025, Hannah Parker tragically and unexpectedly lost her husband, Doug. They met at Appalachian State University and built a life together in Charlotte filled with love, hard work, and devotion to their two-year-old son, Bo.

Doug grew up in Matthews, and was not only a devoted husband and father, but also a gifted craftsman who owned his own business, specializing in the rare art of custom-bending exhaust systems for classic automobiles.

Hannah is now facing the enormous challenges of single parenthood and unimaginable grief. This fund has been created to offer financial support to Hannah and Bo during this incredibly difficult time—helping to relieve the burden of immediate expenses and to begin building a college fund for Bo’s future.
