Update on Hank: A Critical Milestone in His Fight Against Cancer
Hank has been busy doing what he does best: fighting hard and kicking cancer’s butt. Yesterday, we received incredible news—Hank has been cleared for a life-saving stem cell transplant, and our sister Marian is a perfect match!
Next week, Marian will head to Houston to donate her stem cells at MD Anderson. While Marian will be there for two weeks, Hank’s journey is just beginning. He’ll also be admitted next week to start the transplant process, which will require him to remain hospitalized at MD Anderson until May 31, assuming no complications arise.
This will be the longest and most challenging phase of Hank’s journey. Being away from his sons will be the hardest part for him, but his determination to reach his goal of being cancer-free and creating a future full of adventures with his boys keeps him motivated.
How You Can Help
Hank needs our prayers now more than ever as he enters this critical phase. But he also needs help in two major ways:
1. Rides for His Boys: Hank’s sons mean the world to him, and their visits will be crucial for his emotional strength during this time. Coordinating rides to Houston will be a huge help.
2. Financial Support: The financial strain has become overwhelming. Since September, Hank has been unable to work, and his medical expenses have already exceeded $27,000—this doesn’t even include his 2025 deductibles or the cost of living expenses while he’s unable to earn income. By the end of this month, Hank will have drained most of his savings.
Any donation, no matter how small, makes a significant difference. Your support can help ensure Hank gets to the finish line in June—cancer-free, reunited with his boys, and ready to get back to life and work later this year.
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support Hank has received so far. Your kindness and generosity are helping to carry him through this journey.
Let’s rally together to help Hank overcome this final hurdle and secure the healthy, happy future he deserves.
Hello everyone,
Our family is reaching out for help during a very difficult time. My brother, Hank, has recently been diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. What started as a sore throat and general fatigue has turned into a life-altering diagnosis that will require months of treatment.
Hank is an amazing father to three boys, two of whom still live at home with him, a loving brother, and a dedicated special education teacher. Unfortunately, he will be unable to work for at least the next 60 days as he undergoes intensive chemotherapy and a possible bone marrow transplant. This time away from work will be incredibly difficult, both physically and financially.
We’re asking for your support to help cover Hank’s medical bills and living expenses during this battle. Any amount you can give will go directly toward helping Hank and his family during this fight.
Please keep Hank in your prayers as he endures this tough journey. We are holding on to hope for a miracle, and your support means the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
