As an RN, my dad Hank has dedicated his entire life to helping others get through medical emergencies and difficult diagnoses. Now, he is facing his own. Dad has been diagnosed with stage 2 esophageal cancer. The treatment plan so far will include chemo for around 6 weeks to shrink the tumor and then surgery to remove it, followed by another possible round of preventative chemo. He plans to work up until his surgery, as long as the chemo doesn't make him too ill. After surgery though, he will need to take a few months off of work to recover. He will have a feeding tube during this recovery phase and not be able to speak right away.

We are asking for donations from those who are able to help cover his monthly expenses while he is off work so he can focus on healing instead of stressing about how to pay his bills.
