Dear friends,

My name is Hanaa Shehada from Gaza, Palestine. I have launched this campaign with the support of my dear friend.

In this campaign I am reaching out to ask your support, as my husband Sari and I strive to rebuild the shattered remnants of our hopes and dreams, torn apart by the brutal war on Gaza.

Just a couple of weeks before this war on Gaza started, I lost my babies after a grueling IVF (In vitro fertilization) process. In my sixth month, on the 3rd of September I suffered a miscarriage, and we lost our beautiful son and two daughters. It was the worst day of my life, each detail etched painfully in my heart.

When my IVF procedure succeeded, my husband Sari and I were over the moon. We decided to put our heart, soul, and every waking moment into it. Every day was filled with anticipation. They were a dream that we meticulously nurtured and safeguarded– our most cherished dream.

Sari and I were devastated and heart-broken but we have not lost hope. We wanted to try again as soon as possible, because, luckily, we still had frozen embryos that we kept after the IVF procedure, which will save us time, pain, and money on our next chance.

In December our future was stolen! An Israeli strike destroyed our frozen embryos along with thousands in the fertility center, the only center in Gaza that provide such a service.

Amidst the myriad losses that I had to live through during this war, displacement, loss of our homes and beloved ones, etc. We still hold on to our dream of having a beautiful family for even in loss, there is resilience.

To start from scratch, Sari and I must seek medical care for an IVF procedure outside of Gaza. Given the current circumstances, obtaining this opportunity within Gaza, either now or even after the war is over, is virtually impossible due to the scarcity of medical facilities, electricity, and essential resources for IVF procedures. Additionally, the physical and mental care required for this procedure to succeed are also lacking in our current environment.

With each passing month, our hopes, and chances of having our dream happen diminish as time ticks away.

I ask for your support in rebuilding our lives and renewing our hopes.

I would use the donated fund for:

- Exiting Gaza (coordination fees and transportation to Egypt, any other relevant expenses accordingly).

- Treatment cost: IVF procedure; operations and preparedness phase.

- Medical treatments post the operations (Injections, medications, vitamins, ultrasounds, follow up checks, etc.).

- Accommodation costs outside Gaza including: Rent and other living costs.

I would also use any remaining funds, if any, to support my family surviving the terrible situation.
