my name is hamzeh daoud, a palestinian, muslim, queer nonbinary transfem asylee from amman, jordan. i love pole dancing, drinking turkish coffee in the early mornings, and hosting chosen family and friends for hookah in my home:). im a bit much in every which way, but i grow on ya once u get to know me teehee

over the past couple of years, i’ve come to accept myself as gender expansive and have welcomed parts of myself that have long been suppressed. it's been absolutely beautiful and filled me with joy my past self could never even dream of. this has also come with its host of dangers. i have been forced to seek asylum in the us in response to threats of violence from my family, and anticipate my commitment to my gender journey will mean heightened threats to my safety. as i continue to expand on the ways i present myself, i’ve begun struggling with gender dysphoria and have been increasingly struggling to move past it given the limitations of my current body. i am hoping to start my medical transition journey this year and have set up this page to help with the outstanding costs.

i’ve recently moved from texas to california to have better access to gender-affirming care. i’ve met with the transgender wellness center (an office of/program in the la lgbt center), as well as the ucla gender health program and both have recommended i fundraise for laser hair removal, outstanding surgery costs not covered by insurance, copays, as well as recovery costs related to surgery. below you’ll find an outline of my planned medical transition journey:

i anticipate the timeline above shifting based on wait times and my body’s capacity to go through several major surgeries over the span of a few years. since my safety will be at risk once more, i am hoing to also begin my green card proceedings as i now qualify to apply since it has been a little over a year since i've been granted asylum. i am fundraising for the following

نقلت جديد من تكساس لكاليفورنيا مشان أحصل على أفضل رعاية لتأكيد الجندر. رحت وتقابلت مع جمعية بتساعد العابرين جندرياً وقسم صحة الجندر في مستشفى جامعة وتنيناتهم شجعوني أجمع تبرعات تساعدني في التكاليف إللي التأمين ما بغطيها. رح أمر بعمليات وتغيرات التأكيد الجندري عمدا 3 سنين بإذن الله، والتكاليف إلي عم بجمعلها هي كالآتي
