My name is Mahvash, the wife of Hamid Saalabi. My husband of 27 years was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, in June of this year. Hamid is extremely kind and gentle with a great sense of humor. A patient and very loving man towards everyone, Hamid brought joy to people's lives even when he was suffering himself. Now 74, he worked to support his family up until last year and NEVER, EVER complained. We have a 26-year-old son (Payam) together, and he has a daughter from a previous marriage.

Seeking your financial help is very hard for me, but after several visits to the hospital and rehabilitation center, the medical bills have become overburdensome. And now that he is at the rehabilitation center full-time due to his inability to breathe and eat on his own, we must seek your help to pay our outstanding $20k (and continuously growing) medical bills.
