"We are people of honor and dignity, and we will remain people of honor and dignity. Circumstances will not change us. We have lost many loved ones, and we lost my father, but we never imagined that those who died would be relieved of all this suffering we are experiencing.
When you've lived your whole life, from birth, in a home with walls and windows that protect you from the winter's cold and the summer's heat, then in a moment, without mercy, this occupier destroys our homes and everything we own, forcing us to live in tattered tents.
Two years of war have tormented us and left a deep wound in our hearts that no temptation can erase. We were taught since childhood about human rights and that this world cares about human rights, but unfortunately, after two years of war, we have realized that this world is devoid of humanity after all that we have endured.
The world thinks the war has ended and the problems are over, but they don't realize that what we are experiencing now is far worse than the war itself. We are living in harsh conditions, enduring cold weather and difficult weather. We are experiencing suffering in every detail here.
Unfortunately, this occupation has not adhered to any of the terms of the agreement and continues to control the entry of aid and commercial goods. We are still experiencing one day of rising prices and one day of falling prices.
The aid that enters in large quantities, and the whole world sees it, mostly consists of canned goods and lentils. But its arrival makes it appear to the world that everything is entering, and yet no one knows the details of this aid.
It is unfortunate when the world believes what it sees in the news and newspapers without knowing the truth from the suffering people here."
-Hamed Alakkad
My name is Haydee and I am from the USA, this was a message sent to me by my friend in Palestine named Hamed Alakkad. I have known Hamed for almost 2 years now and have been sharing his story and the stories of many other Palestinian voices who are not advocated for as they should be.
This is the updated donations page, but you can find the original campaign here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-hameds-family-survive-in-gaza
Right now, the people of Palestine are living in tents that are not made to withstand the changing weather. Between rainstorms and sandstorms, the people of Palestine are still suffering through this ongoing genocide. Aid is still heavily restricted, and the people do not have sufficient resources for survival.
Please consider donating to this campaign as 100% of the funds go directly to Hamed and his family.
This is what Hamed's home looked like before the occupation began to destroy their homes:
This is what their home looked like last year in 2025:
And this is the current situation in Palestine 2026:
Please consider helping my friend and his family with any amount you can donate.
Do you think you would have stood on the right side of history during times of oppression? We have the opportunity to do that right now.
Even if you cannot donate financially, please share this page and share the truth about Palestine that the media will never tell you.
Please hear my plea and help these people have a better chance at staying alive.
Thank you very much, may your donations come back to you tenfold and may you always be blessed.
