It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our brother John Oberg, better known as Hambone, who left us on August 9, 2025, due to stupid, stupid cancer. This most unfair loss has devastated our family as well as the entire local music community.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we are reaching out to our community, friends, and extended family for support to help with the cost of his final arrangements. We humbly ask for any help you can share—big or small, and every bit will go directly to honoring John’s memory and to lay him to rest.
