Support Our Haly and Her Recovery from GBS

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your continued love and support for our beautiful Haly. The purpose of this site is to provide updates for Haly's family, friends and co-workers as well as to raise funds to help support her family during this time of crisis. Here is a synopsis of what we know so far:
Haly and Justin returned home from their honeymoon on Friday, June 14th. The next day, Haly went to the ER with excruciating back & neck pain as well as numbness/tingling in her tongue, hands and feet. She was also having a hard time walking. From there, things got progressively worse and Haly was admitted to Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
Since she was admitted, the doctors have run dozens of tests and are still working to determine the cause of Haly's symptoms. As of Wednesday, Haly developed Bell's Palsy and after countless consultations, the medical team now believes that she is reacting to a virus that she likely caught while traveling internationally. Haly is currently unable to perform daily functions without assistance and cannot walk without a walker.
There is no clear indication of when Haly will be released from the hospital, as she requires constant medical treatment and observation to remain stable. She will be assessed soon to see if she is a candidate for a rehab facility to help her with physical therapy and recovery.
Haly's husband Justin is working full-time and is unable to take time off work due to the nature of his job. Oliver, their 3 year old son, is in daycare and is being occupied and cared for as much as possible. Their sweet dog Doobie is at home and is doing well (although he could always use some love!)
We will be organizing a 'meal train' once Haly is released from the hospital so that she and her family can focus on her recovery at home. For now, we are requesting that anyone who would like to help support Haly please donate to this fundraising site. Funds will be used in the following ways:
- Groceries and meal delivery services to help support Justin and Oliver while Haly is incapacitated and unable to work.
- A cleaning service so that their family can return to a comfortable environment once Haly is well enough to return home.
- Ongoing medical bills and other charges that Haly will incur on her road to recovery.
Thank you all for your continued love and support! We are all hoping and praying that our girl gets better soon.
