Support Halstyn's Fight Against Biliary Atresia
Donation protected
Hello, I am speaking on behalf of the parents of the Doane women's basketball team players. Our head coach, Ryan, and his wife, Deidre Baumgartner, welcomed their third child, Halstyn, on June 1st, 2024. Soon after, they found out that Halstyn was diagnosed with biliary atresia. Biliary atresia is a rare condition that blocks bile flow from your baby’s liver to their intestines. Halstyn has been in and out of the hospital, in PICU, and undergoing many surgeries. She has had a ton of scar tissue that has come back even after surgery, and it is causing blockages, making it tough on the liver.
If you know Ryan or Deidre, you will know they would never expect anything from anyone. Both are two of the most caring people and would do anything for anyone at any time. They both, along with both of their families, treat all of the Doane women's basketball team as if they are their own. In this time of need for their family, we want to show them as much support as they have shown our families. Hospital bills and missed days of work are adding up, so we hope to raise a little bit of money for this family to use towards any bills or anything else during this time so that they can focus on getting Halstyn better.
Ryan and Deidre have two other children, Laikynn and Boone, who are at home with family while the parents are with Halstyn in the hospital. Let's show this family some love and help raise some funds to help in their time of need.
