Hello Friends, I am Timaree Fox, Halli Fox's mom. On April 19th Halli was involved in a snowboarding accident at Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort. She was airlifted to Renown Regional Hospital in Reno where we spent 6 days, 5 in ICU. Halli had 2 fractured Vertebrae (compression fracture in T4 and fracture in L3) a major concussion and due to the shock to the spinal cord and brain she was temporarily paralyzed. While she had full feeling in her legs come back by the time the helicopter landed her body was in shock and she was unable to lift/move her legs other than wiggle her toes. Over the next 5 days in ICU she worked extremely hard to regain that mobility. On day 6 she was able to walk out of the hospital (very slowly and in pain) and head home to recover/rehabilitate her fractured vertabraes. With the impending costs of out of pocket maximums, annual deductibles for this ICU stay, helicopter ride, the physical therapy that is needed to recover and who knows what uncovered additional medical costs are coming her way. Anything to help our lovely Halli will be greatly appreciated. As an amazing young woman whose life was just taking off an experience like this will be financially extremely difficult/debilitating. I have set up this go fund me to go directly to Halli to help pay for all the incoming medical expenses. Again any help is greatly appreciated for this miraculous young woman!
