Support Haley's Family in Wilder's Battle

Hi, my name is Jeanne and I've created this Go Fund Me for my niece, Haley, her baby Wilder, and her family (husband Travis and older brother Booker, along with their extended families).

Here is her story, directly from her Facebook page:

At just shy of 5 weeks of life, we discovered a mass in Wilder’s left armpit area. At 6 weeks of life, we heard the word cancer spoken by an oncologist for the first time. Wilder was diagnosed with a malignant rhabdoid tumor. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning (1 in 15,300) than you do of having this type of cancer (less than 1 in 1,000,000) in the United States. This is something I would not wish on my worst enemy; I finally understand this expression. I’m sharing this in the hope that if this ever happens to someone I know, which I pray it won’t, they don’t feel so alone. We have experienced heartbreak over and over in the last few weeks. But all of this has been made a little bit easier by our village. Booker found this message in a fortune cookie last night and it is something that I have to remind myself of. Our village is made of our family, friends, Booker’s school, my school, acquaintances, strangers, the staff at Dana Farber, the Jimmy Fund Clinic, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Cancer was always something that happened to other people until it happened to us. We could use all of the positive vibes, good intentions, and prayers that people have.

I have since learned that Wilder was also born with four (4) holes in his heart. This family is going to need support financially (hospital visits, trips to and from Boston for treatments, doctors appointments, and losing time off from work adds up faster than they can count), emotionally and physically. The grief for them is unbearable and if they are able to concentrate on their family, and not worry about the bills, this will give them some relief.

Any amount, small or large would be a blessing to this family. If we exceed the initial goal that has been set, it will be used for all future financial burdens that they may have.

Please pray for them, for strength, for wisdom, for rest, for mercy and peace. They deserve all the grace we can give them. Please feel free to share this go fund me page, and consider adding them to your prayer groups at your churches.
