As many of you know, my sister Haley O’Banion is expecting a little girl with her fiancé Brentlee Barney. Baby Barney was supposed to be due in May and will need open-heart surgery soon after birth, along with a couple of other heart surgeries soon after. On Friday the 28th, they found out that their little girl would need to have yet another surgery due to a bowel obstruction. The doctor then recommended they relocate within two weeks to be near the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia due to the baby being high risk because she is not able to digest enough of the amniotic fluid while in utero, and Haley being at high risk too. However, baby Barney had other plans. Haley’s water broke this morning around 4:30 AM, and she is currently waiting to see where she will be sent to deliver, either a hospital near CHOP or Danville. All of this is already so stressful on the family, and Haley and Brentlee will both be out of work for an unknown amount of time. While they have been trying to save money when they can, Haley will not be receiving short-term disability or maternity leave. I created this fundraiser to try to ease some of their financial stress to help pay bills, afford food, and whatever else they may need so they can focus on their little girl. update: Baby Barney was born yesterday. At this time they are not sharing too much information as they are waiting to hear more from the doctor. All that matters is that she is stable and in the NICU in good hands. We will update as soon as we know more!
