My name is Halee, and I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this. At 29, I was diagnosed with stage III triple negative breast cancer, and now, at 31, I’m still fighting—almost two years later. Cancer has changed every part of my life. I had to leave a job that was hurting my health, and my boyfriend Billy has been my anchor, holding us together through every storm. He’s worked so hard to keep us afloat, paying bills and making sure I could focus on my treatment, even when things felt impossible.

After my first diagnosis, I applied for disability and was denied. Since December 2025, I’ve been working again, but the pain and fatigue are catching up to me, and I know I’ll need to file for SSDI again soon. Every month, I face car payments, credit card bills, and the everyday costs of living that don’t stop just because I’m sick. The financial strain is overwhelming, especially as I continue treatment and wait for disability approval.
