I'm Cami, AKA Compassion8Misanthrope, and I started this GoFundMe to support our dear friend Keiran, AKA HalcyonSalad, in getting back on his feet after a retaliatory eviction. I'll let him tell you in his own words what happened:

I got kicked out of my apartment during an ICE raid that the property manager had instigated on the complex, seemingly in hopes of getting a few specific people arrested. I happened to be outside when it happened, and tried to intervene. The property manager then told me to "shut [my] fucking mouth and stand down," and the next day I had an eviction notice on my door. I have explored the legality of the notice, but didn't feel safe at that location.

I was able to stay at a friend's place that was out of state for a while, but her husband was adamant that I not be there when they returned.

We are fundraising to help Keiran find a new, safe place to live and get back on his feet.
