Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’m raising money for my dear friend Hailey, whose life changed in an instant on March 18th.
That morning, Hailey was working on set and not feeling well, so she made the decision to leave the shoot early. On her way home, just a block from the studio, she suffered a sudden seizure while driving, crossing four lanes of traffic before her car crashed into a tree in downtown Los Angeles.
Witnesses found her unconscious and actively seizing, and were able to use her phone to contact her husband, who is a working musician currently on tour, and was unable to be by her side. Thanks to the quick actions of strangers and first responders, Hailey was rushed to the hospital, where she was evaluated and later released that same day.
While we are incredibly grateful she survived, this is just the beginning of a long recovery road as she navigates physical, emotional, and financial uncertainty.
Since the accident, Hailey has been attending various medical appointments and follow-ups with specialists, as doctors work to understand her condition and what her path forward will look like.
Hailey isn’t allowed to drive for at least three months, and possibly longer depending on her recovery and medical guidance. As a freelance hairstylist in the sprawling city of Los Angeles, this directly impacts her ability to work and earn a living, adding another layer of stress during an already overwhelming time. At the same time, she is facing mounting medical expenses, a high insurance deductible, and the cost of emergency services, including an ambulance ride she doesn’t even remember taking.
Her car was also totaled in the accident, and the insurance payout is less than what she still owes on the vehicle, leaving her in a difficult financial position. Because she and her husband share a vehicle, this loss affects him as well, including his ability to give Hailey the rides she will need during this time. As her driving future remains uncertain, Hailey will need support for alternative transportation to get to medical appointments and, eventually, back to work.
On a personal note, Hailey has the biggest heart and a soft spot for animals. She often donates her time and resources to shelters and rescues. She has six of her own fur babies who depend on her, including some with their own special medical needs that she lovingly cares for.
Those who are fortunate to know Hailey know how hardworking, kind, and dedicated she is to her clients and her community. In recent years, the entertainment industry has taken some hits, and many freelance artists like Hailey are already stretched thin navigating an unpredictable landscape, with few financial cushions or safety nets for emergencies like this.
We’ve set an initial goal of $20,000 to help provide immediate relief—covering urgent medical expenses, transportation needs, and basic living costs during this critical time. As more information comes in and her recovery plan becomes clearer, this number may be adjusted to reflect her ongoing needs. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Hailey regain stability during this incredibly difficult time.
Our hope is that this support can give Hailey a bit of breathing room and peace of mind so she can focus fully on healing.
We understand that not everyone is in a position to donate, but sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you for showing up for our sweet Hailey. Your support truly makes a difference. Hug someone you love today ❤️
