My name is hailey and I am the daughter of Amy Rose (Mithun). I am raising funds to help my mom and stepdad Bob (Mithun) with their medical/monthly bills, and travel/hotel expenses. Bob was recently diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer. This was something that was unexpected and everything happened really fast in a matter of a few weeks. They have been traveling back and forth the last few weeks to Rochester for doctor visits to get everything planned out. As of right now the plan is, Monday 11/3 he is having a surgery/procedure to check the fluid in his abdomen and also making sure this hasn’t spread to other organs. They also found out he is anemic therefore, he will be getting an infusion that will last a year. He will be getting a port placed as he will be starting chemo in a couple weeks for 2 months. There is more to come after this but, it all depends how well the chemo goes. We will give updates as things approach/happen. Thank you so much for the love and prayers as we go through this hard time and take it day by day. He got a CT scan done to see if his cancer spread and the CT scan did not show anything. They are now doing a scope through his abdomen to see if they can see anything with a scope. Yesterday 11/7 Robert had a procedure done yesterday as well to be able to start chemo. Bob got a port put in for him to start chemo. Next monday he will be starting a double chemo that is a hours long. Please keep our family in your prayers. Bob had his second chemo treatment monday 12/17. He Had a few hiccups to start out but eventually got going with treatment. His hemoglobin is low so now he had to go in for a blood transfusion Tuesday 12/16 to hopefully bring it up and Thursday labs to check it. Things are going ok few side effects but to be expected. We'll get through it one day at a time.
