TLDR; RAISING FUNDS FOR SK EMPLOYEES EMERGENCY VET BILL. (Already dealing with a death in the family and working a full time job)
Note from Hailey:
Mila just turned 12 a couple weeks ago! She loves when her parents sing to her, play hide and seek, she loves cardboard boxes, good ear scritches, “circle time” with mom (mom makes a circle with her arms & she nuzzles in), sitting in on zoom meetings, and sleeping right in between her parents where she feels safest.
Hailey (Mila’s mom) lost her grandma this week. As a sweet gesture, flowers were given as a gift. She was careful to keep them in a room the cats don’t have access to, but while changing the water in the planter, Mila got ahold of a Lily, which are extremely toxic to cats.
As it’s the weekend, their only option was to rush to an emergency vet. The first round of bills are amounting to $5k already and at this moment they are uncertain if more treatments will be needed. Savings & credit cards have been depleted, and they have been utilizing CareCredit.
Any contribution to offset some of the financial & emotional distress is appreciated more than we can put into words. Every bit truly helps so much. If you are unable to donate, a share or passing this onto someone you know would be so kind.
Please send Mila Moo your love. We just want our baby to be okay.
A NOTE FROM THE SMITTEN KITTEN TEAM:
Hailey plays the roll of store director and holds our ADHD riddled team together with her impressive spreadsheet and organizational abilities. Working at smitten requires a lot of emotional intelligence and energy, having a pet should honestly be a requirement of employment. Anything you're able contribute or share will help give our cherished friend and coworker peace of mind as they navigate this challenging time.
