Al principiode Junio de 2025 Hailee estaba trabajando una noche vendiendo comida después de su traslado a California unas semanas antes. Al final de la noche, Hailee había dicho que su pierna izquierda se sentía como si estuviera dormida y era muy dolorosa.. Su madre la llevo al estación de bomberos donde trabaja su hermano para asegurarse que estaba bien y resulto que sus partes vitales se miraban bien. Ellos pensaban que ella solo tenia ansiedad, lo mismo que los doctores la habia dicho dos semanas antes en el hospital cuando ella fue por adormecimiento en su brazo izquierda.

Esa misma noche a las 11:30pm, Hailee perdio todo movimiento de su cuerpo del lado izquierda. Su cara se miraba como caída, no podia pararse sola, y se sintio aterrorizada. La llevaron al hospital de nuevo y dos dias despues la diagnosticaron

con Esclerosis Múltiple (EM). Esclerosis múltiple es una enfermedad crónica que afecta a la sistema nervioso central. A pesar de estar rodeado con mucho apoyo y amor, Hailee tenia miedo de lo desconocido. Hailee fue ofrecida fisioterapia tres dias despues de los dos semanas que paso en el hospital. Ella salió del hospital con poco conocimiento de su enfermedad aparte de lo que ahora no puede hacer y lo que debe evitar. Cuando regresó a casa estaba trabajando con su familia para aprender a caminar de nuevo, para sostener las cosas, para aprender a hacer las cosas más simples como poner su pasta dental en un cepillo de dientes.

Pasó de ser la trabajadora más dura que mucha gente ha visto, siendo independiente, planificando su futuro a ser dependiente de su familia para casi todo de la noche a la mañana. Sin embargo, si conoces a Hailee, sabes qué persona resistente, trabajadora y terca es y gracias a todo eso, tomó la decisión de no dejar que esta enfermedad la detenga. Le encontramos un médico que se especializa en EM y le hicimos las citas que se necesitaban. Trabajamos juntos para que ella no solo caminara sino también caminara bien. Nos enfocamos en hacer que usara no solo su mano, sino todo su brazo y todo lo demás. Hailee puso todo de su parte en recuperarse y cambiar su estilo de vida para volver a su vida. Septiembre fue su segundo mes de tratamiento y pensamos que estábamos viendo la luz al final del túnel. Hailee se sentía segura y estaba entendiendo mas de su enfermedad. Estaba cerca del 80% recuperada, completamente independiente en la casa hasta el 8 de octubre cuando ella y su amiga Jordan fueron a hacer un recado juntas como lo hacen todos los días. Mientras Hailee manejaba, le había mencionado a Jordan que su visión era borrosa. A Hailee nunca le habían dicho que no podía manejar, sino escuchar su cuerpo.

Jordan le había dicho a Hailee que se detuviera para que ella pudiera manejar, asumiendo que esto era algo con lo que Hailee había lidiado desde su diagnóstico, Jordan pensó que Hailee solo tenía que ir a descansar.. tal vez se empujó demasiado fuerte ese día. Sin embargo, el segundo que Hailee había parado el carro, ella comenzó a tener una convulsión. Jordan puso el carro en parque, llamó al 911 y acomodó a Hailee hasta que su familia y los paramédicos llegaron. La llevaron a un hospital local donde le hicieron pruebas para revelar que su cerebro se había inflamado. Durante este tiempo, Hailee estaba despierta y alerta.

Confundida por qué sucedió esto, su familia preguntó por qué podría suceder esto ahora. Se les dijo que esto podría ser un síntoma de la EM. Inmediatamente fue trasladada por aire a un hospital que tiene el personal y el apoyo para cuidarla adecuadamente. Después de tres días de esperar, finalmente llegaron y le dijeron a Hailee que tenía una nueva lesión cerebral en la parte de su cerebro que induce convulsiones. Hailee todavía está en el hospital recibiendo tratamiento para la inflamación del cerebro y está bajo observación de convulsiones. Legalmente, el hospital tiene que reportar la convulsión mientras conducía al dmv y su licencia fue suspendida por 6 meses o hasta que un médico lo autorice. Hailee y su familia han pedido su ayuda para ayudarla a pagar algunas facturas médicas/copagos y sus cuentas personales. Hailee sintió que pronto estaba a punto de volver a trabajar y se sintió confiada en su resistencia de nuevo, y si la has visto recientemente, lo primero que dice es “Necesito un trabajo, no puedo esperar para volver a trabajar". No sabemos cuándo podrá trabajar, pero solo podemos rezar para que sea pronto. Cualquier ayuda será muy apreciada. Con la ayuda de Dios, sabemos que Hailee volverá a ser ella misma pronto.

In the beginning of June 2025 Hailee was working one night selling food after her relocation back home to California a few weeks prior. She was very happy to be back in her home town, apple valley. By the end of the night Hailee had said that her left leg felt like it was asleep and it was very painful. Her mom had taken her to the fire station where her brother works to make sure she was okay, all her vitals were fine. They thought it was anxiety just like she was told at the hospital two weeks prior when she went for left arm numbness.

That same night by 11:30 pm she had lost all movement in the left side of her body. Her face was droopy, she couldn’t stand, and she was terrified. she was taken to the hospital where two days later she was officially diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system. Although Hailee was surrounded by endless support she was still scared of the unknown. Hailee was offered physical therapy three days out of her two week hospital visit. She left the hospital with little knowledge to her illness other than what she now can not do & what she should avoid. When she returned home she was working with her family to learn to walk again, to hold things, to learn how to do the simplest things such as putting her toothpaste on a toothbrush.

She went from being the hardest worker a lot of people have seen, being independent, planning for her future. To being dependent on her family for just about everything over night. However if you know Hailee you know what a resilient, hard working, stubborn person she is and thanks to all of that, she made the choice to not let this illness stop her. We found her a doctor that specializes in MS and made her the appointments that were needed. We worked together on getting her to not only walk but walk correctly. We focused on getting her to use not only her hand but her whole arm and everything else in between. Hailee put her all into recovering and changing her lifestyle to get back to her life. September was her second month of treatment and we thought we were final seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hailee was feeling confident and was getting an understanding of this disease. She was about 80% recovered, completely independent in the house. Until on October 8th her and her friend Jordan went to run an errand together as they do every day. While Hailee was driving, she had mentioned to Jordan that her vision was blurry. Hailee had never gotten told she could not drive, but to listen to her body. Jordan had told Hailee to pull over so that she can drive, assuming this was something Hailee had dealt with since her diagnosis, Jordan thought Hailee just had to go rest. Maybe she pushed herself too hard that day. However the second Hailee had stopped the car she started having a seizure. Jordan put the car into park, called 911 and accommodated Hailee until her family and the paramedics arrived. She was taken to a local hospital where they did tests to reveal that her brain had swollen. During this time Hailee was awake and alert. Confused why this happened her family asked why could this happen now? They were told this could be a symptom of the MS. She was immediately airlifted to a hospital that has the staff and support to properly take care of her. After three days of waiting they finally came in and told Hailee that she had a new brain lesion on the part of her brain that induces seizures. Hailee is still in the hospital receiving treatment for the brain swelling and Is under seizure observation. Legally the hospital has to report the seizure while driving to the dmv and her license was suspended for 6 months or until cleared by a doctor. Hailee and her family have requested your help to help her pay some medical bills/copays and her personal bills, daily personal items . Hailee felt that she was soon about to go back to work and felt confident in her stamina again. And if you’ve seen her recently the first thing she says is “I need a job, I can’t wait to work again” we don’t know when she will be able to work but we can only pray that it is soon. Any help will be greatly appreciated. With gods help we know Hailee will be back to herself again soon.
