#Support Hailat — Ethiopian Football Hero in Kidney Failure Crisis

HaileSelassie Gebregiorgis (Hailat) is one of Ethiopia’s legendary goalkeepers, proudly serving the national team from 1970–1974 EC helping Ethiopia qualify and participate in the Africa Cup of Nations(13th). Before that he palyed for Tigray Mirit, Mechal, Tesfa Club, the Youth Team, and Ersha Seble team alongside football greats like Kassahun Teka and Tesfaye Welo, Nigussie Gebre, Asfaw Bayou, Ayaya Luchiya,Tesfaye Welo, Anoneh, Lema Kibret etc.

After retiring, he became a respected A-level coach, training Ersha seble team, both youth and senior national teams. He gave his life to the football postponing family and is now a father to three young boys (ages 10, 7, and 5).

Today, Hailat is battling kidney failure, undergoing dialysis three times per week alongside his older daughter, who also needs a transplant. He now faces a serious heart condition, making transplant his option to continue.

This national icon needs urgent support for ongoing treatment and a potential kidney transplant. Let’s stand with Hailat as he once stood for Ethiopia. Thank you!
