Support Hahna's Urgent Surgeries and Recovery

Hi, this is Kylene. This GoFundMe is for my sister-in-law, Hahna Gamez-Martinez. I’ll try to be swift and to the point. Hahna needs help. She’s been working with physicians for several years to try to help with knee issues; no shots are working to alleviate the pain from bone grinding on bone in both knees. She is in need of a double knee replacement and has been authorized to have that as soon as possible. However, Hahna is the sole parent/earner of her household, so she planned to save up over the next year in hopes of affording time off to get the surgery next summer. She continues to work as lunch staff at Sheboygan Area School District.

Hahna has been experiencing foot issues too. She went to the doctor last week and found she has a ruptured Achilles tendon and a sharp bone deformity, among other things, that are making it unbearable to walk. She needs surgery for her foot as soon as possible.

Hahna continues to work. She continues to nurture her children, maintain her home, and care for others. She will still pull over on the side of the road to assist an injured animal, give her last dollar to feed a child lacking an adequate lunch, and will still help anyone who asks.

She remains quiet about the weight and gravity of what she is carrying.

Hahna continues to be generous, soft, caring, and kind even through all of the trials and tribulations she faces. Hot tears rolled down my face today when she texted me to see how I was doing while she was at the doctor. Unbelievable.

Hahna is a goddess of compassion, a fierce warrior, absolutely selfless, and a master stoic. Her strength is remarkable, but even the strongest need help sometimes.
