Support Hadiza Loko's Family After House Fire
Donation protected
On September 14, 2024 in Niamey, Niger, a fire erupted in home of our cherished friend's, Hadiza Loko. She and her six children were able to escape unharmed, but there was catastrophic damage to her house and the family's belongings.
Hadiza's life work has been with the US Embassy in Niamey, Niger, where she's worked tirelessly to support our defense offices. She has been a devoted friend and colleague to the countless Americans who have served at our Embassy. Her kindness has made a lasting impact on each of us that have had the honor to work with her. This tragedy comes on the heels of a difficult year for her extended family and her country. It is difficult to articulate how hard life has been for the Nigerien people following the political upheaval of the last year.
We are establishing this fund to support Hadiza as she rebuilds after the fire. All money will go to a trusted source at the Embassy with a US bank account and then be transferred directly to Hadiza in the local currency. Anything you are willing to give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
