Hi!

Our names are Hadiya and Janan, and with your support, we are raising money to travel to study the Qur’an through a Hifz* program in Senegal. If you are able to donate and share our fundraiser, we would truly appreciate your support!

We are from Baltimore, MD, and recently graduated from college; Hadiya from the University of Maryland with a degree in Animal Science, and Janan from Bowie State University with a degree in Biology. Hadiya is an aspiring veterinarian, preparing to apply to veterinary schools, and Janan is an aspiring physician-scientist, preparing to apply to medical school.

While we are pursuing different paths, our goals and aspirations are rooted in something greater: our desire to please Allah, and our main goal and intention in this life is always to find ways to get closer to Allah.

As we enter this next chapter of our lives, we are hoping to begin a journey that is deeply meaningful to us. To study the Qur’an to strengthen our understanding, memorization, and practice of its teachings, InshaAllah (God willing). And InshaAllah during this journey, we will be making Umrah a few days before our final stop in Kaolack, Senegal, to strengthen our iman (faith) and make dua for our families and friends. If you have any duas you would like for us to make while we're there, either for yourself or anyone you know, please feel free to let us know!

We are raising funds to help make this journey possible, and we would be incredibly grateful for your support, whether through a donation, sharing our fundraiser, or simply making dua for us! Donations will go towards airfare, basic travel, room and board, and Hifz program fees for at least 6 months ($400/month per person). Every contribution brings us one step closer to our goals, and, InshaAllah, becomes a source of ongoing reward for everyone who helps us along the way.
