Today I'm raising funds to donate to Habilitat, a non-profit organization that is local to me on Oahu, Hawaii. Habilitat is one of the nation's foremost long-term addiction treatment centers. For over 50 years, they have been helping people overcome problems with substance abuse and homelessness. Their success rate is one of the highest in the United States at three times the national average.

Habilitat believes in a more holistic approach to addiction treatment, not just treating the addiction itself, but also getting to the source of the problem. Throughout the years, they have helped individuals better themselves through the vocational training program they provide, which aids people in developing skills in construction, office administration, medical assistance, culinary, sales, or marketing.

I wholeheartedly believe in the work that Habilitat does and want to support them in any way I can. This fundraiser is important to me not just from a moral standpoint, but from a personal standpoint as well, as I've had people close to me suffer from addiction.

Through your help, I hope to raise money for Habilitat so that they can continue providing the services they do to anyone seeking aid and refuge from their addiction.
