Hi my name is Eden Ballauer, I'm 18 years old. I go to Hawaii Academy of Arts and Sciences and I was born and raised on Big Island and started my surfing life during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have loved it so much ever since I caught my first wave. I've been hooked on that feeling of getting a good wave and wanted to pursue getting better and possibly going pro. Fortunately, I have been able to surf in a class through my school. Our surf team has attended the Honua Finals interscholastic surf competition at Ala Moana Bowls on Oahu in late July the last 2 years. In order for us to go, our parents and coaches have payed our way. This year I wanted to focus my senior project on fundraising to make this last trip for us seniors to be completely paid for. The first start of my project I fundraised doing bake sales. After doing 10 sales, I decided to get help from the community by setting up this GoFundMe to earn the rest of the money we need for our trip.
