Running 12 hour marathon to raise money to fund gym memberships for men in recovery from addiction

For half of my life, I battled addiction—from alcohol and pain pills to pornography. In 2019, a car accident changed everything for me. It led me down a dark path of pain pill addiction, and I lost everything I had. But through God’s grace, I was given a second chance. Despite being told I’d never run more than a mile again, I became a walking miracle. Since then, I’ve completed 23 Hyrox races, 4 marathons, an ultra marathon 50k, and a half Ironman. Now, I’m training for a 12-hour marathon, using this opportunity to shine a light on men struggling with addiction and to run for a cause.

I started Proverbs 27:17 Fitness to help men in recovery find hope, faith, and strength. Our gym is more than just a place to work out—it’s a community where men are led to God and shown how to become leaders in their own lives. I know firsthand how important support and purpose are in recovery, and I want to give that same chance to others.

The funds raised will go directly toward covering gym membership costs at our facility, helping with the operating expenses that keep our doors open.
