The Global War On Terrorism Monument Committee (GWOT) was formed on 23 October,2024 with the intent to erect a monument in Morgan County to serve as a tribute to the people that have served and those in the future who serve the United States of America in the continuous effort to defeat terrorism worldwide. The new monument will be erected on "The Grove”, along Main Street in McConnelsville, Ohio.

The committee is registered as a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) to allow donors the opportunity to obtain a tax deduction in accordance with federal law.

Funds collected are held at the North Valley Bank in Malta.
