About Gus and Ziggy:
Gus has been a committed member of the Oakland Youth Orchestra (OYO) since 2021. His outstanding accomplishments include winning the prestigious Concerto Competition and performing for a sold-out theater. He has continued to shine, recently earning runner-up honors, showcasing his unwavering dedication to music excellence.
Ziggy, following in his brother’s footsteps, was accepted into the Oakland Youth Orchestra (OYO) in 2024. He also earned an honorable mention in a recent concerto competition, a remarkable achievement that highlights his talent, hard work, and bright future in music.
Both brothers have received top-level music education from the Suzuki Music Academy of Michigan (SMAM) and are currently thriving at the Oakland Homeschool Music (OHMI). In addition to their violin studies, Gus and Ziggy have expanded their musical reach by learning piano and joining a chorus, demonstrating their versatility and commitment. They are also proud members of the Detroit Metropolitan Youth Symphony (DMYS), further enriching their experience and growth as young musicians. Their private violin lessons are taught by the exceptional Judith Teasdle, whose guidance has been pivotal to their development.
