Support Gul Plaza Businesses After Karachi Fire

Donation protected
On January 17–21, 2026, a devastating fire engulfed Gul Plaza, a bustling shopping complex on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi, Pakistan. The blaze spread rapidly through this three-story commercial hub, destroying hundreds of shops and causing tragic loss of life, injuries, and unimaginable hardship for countless business owners, employees, and their families.

Gul Plaza was home to more than 1,200 family-run businesses, selling everything from clothing and crockery to jewellery and household goods. The fire has left many shopkeepers with total loss of inventory, damaged premises, and no source of income as they struggle to recover from days of chaos and financial devastation.

This fundraiser is being set up to help those small business owners and their workers whose livelihoods were destroyed in the fire. Funds raised will be used for immediate financial relief for affected business owners and employees, replacing inventory and equipment lost to the blaze, support toward rent, repairs, and reopening expenses, and assistance for families who have lost loved ones or income due to this tragedy.

These are hardworking families and entrepreneurs who have lost everything in an instant. Your donation — at any level — will go a long way in helping them rebuild their businesses and their lives. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your network. Together, we can help the Gul Plaza community rise again. Thank you for your compassion, support, and generosity.
