Hello,

This is Nicole, writing on behalf of my father, Guillermo—known to many as Luis or Chico—and our entire family. On his birthday, August 6th, 2025, my father faced a harrowing ordeal, suffering both a stroke and a heart attack. He was immediately admitted to the ICU, where he was placed in a medically induced coma to allow his brain to heal. During his stay, he underwent a stent placement in his heart and was administered various medications to alleviate the pressure on his brain. We are incredibly grateful that he is still with us, but we recognize that the path to recovery is long and arduous.

For those who know my father, you are well aware of his selfless nature. He is the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He is always the first to offer a helping hand and ensures that everyone around him is well taken care of. Now, it is our turn to ensure that he receives the care and support he needs.

My family and I are currently dedicated to providing my father with the best possible care to aid in his recovery. This includes securing access to top-notch medical facilities, healthcare providers, and essential devices. Our immediate goal is to procure an electric wheelchair and a hoister lift, as he remains paralyzed on the left side of his body.

The financial burden of ICU care, rehabilitation facilities, ongoing treatment, physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy is substantial and will continue to grow. Any form of support—whether through donations or by sharing our story—would mean the world to us.
