My name is Camila, and I am creating this fundraiser for my husband, Guilherme, and our family during one of the most difficult moments of our lives.

Yesterday, my husband was detained by ICE. Everything happened so suddenly, and since then, our lives have been turned upside down.

Guilherme and I have two beautiful 5-year-old twins. Our children are used to having their dad present in their lives every day, and they are still too young to fully understand what is happening.

Guilherme was not out of status and no criminal history, which made his detention even more shocking and difficult for us to understand!!

My husband is a loving father, a devoted husband, and the main provider for our family. He has always worked extremely hard to support us while I dedicated most of my time to taking care of our children and our home. Now, with him detained and unable to work, I am suddenly facing our household expenses, our children’s needs, and the legal costs of his case without him by my side.

I am devastated, scared, and trying my best to stay strong for our children. At the same time, I am doing everything I can to make sure my husband receives the legal representation he needs and has the chance to come back home to us.

We are raising funds to help cover attorney fees, immigration-related legal expenses, and our family’s basic living expenses while Guilherme is unable to work.

Asking for help is not easy for me, but right now I am doing everything I can for my husband and for our children.
