In November 2025, my horse Gucci was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia. As my vet and I looked at the brown liquid that had been aspirated from Gucci’s lungs, my vet said that she was fighting for her life. Lab results would later show that there were several strains of bacteria in the lungs as well as necrotic tissue.

Her recovery was touch and go at the start, but she has made progress in her health and the light at the end of the tunnel is on the horizon. Over the course of the past 11 weeks, Gucci has undergone intensive treatment with multiple antibiotics and pain relievers, weekly and bi-weekly vet appointments, blood tests, long hours and sleepless nights.

Gucci’s illness and subsequent treatment were unexpected and unplanned, and so was the resulting financial burden. I have tried my best to keep up with her vet bills, but they have been piling up. So, here I am asking for help to pay the outstanding balance of $4500. I know times are tough right now for many (myself included) so any contributions will be greatly appreciated.
