On the night of Wednesday, October 8th, a tragic fire broke out in the house that Guada and Santi, a young couple from Argentina, were renting in Cliffside, New Jersey.

Thankfully, they are both physically safe, but the fire destroyed almost all of their belongings — furniture, clothes, important documents, and household essentials.

The most heartbreaking loss of all was their sweet cat Murphy, who sadly didn’t survive.

In the middle of this devastating moment, Guada and Santi are trying to rebuild their lives from scratch — finding a safe place to stay, replacing basic items, and covering urgent expenses.

They are a hardworking, kind, and humble young couple who came to the U.S. chasing new opportunities, and now they need our community’s support to recover from this tragedy.
