Hi, my name is Ebony Spano — I’m a U.S. Navy veteran, The Founder of MOVE ❤️ Mamas Organizing Voter Economics community activist, and most importantly, a mother.
When I learned about the brutal assault of 5-year-old A’Marie, my heart shattered — not just as an advocate, but as a mom who knows what it means to fight for your child’s safety and justice. That pain lit a fire in me. I couldn’t stay silent while our laws left children — both victims and those in need of intervention — without protection.
I started this petition because Ohio’s juvenile justice system is broken, and too many families are paying the price. Under current law, children under 12 who commit violent acts can’t even be evaluated or required to get help. That means no accountability, no therapy, no treatment — just silence.
But I refuse to accept silence as justice.
Your donation — whether it’s $5, $10, or $20 — helps me and other mothers push this movement forward:
⚖️ We’re bringing this petition to lawmakers to demand legal reform.
We’re funding research and legal drafting to close dangerous loopholes.
We’re organizing families and mothers to share their stories and change the system from the ground up.
I’m not asking for sympathy — I’m asking for solidarity.
This isn’t about punishment. It’s about prevention, protection, and compassion — building a system where every child, victim or offender, gets help before tragedy repeats itself.
Your donation fuels that mission.
$5 prints flyers for outreach events.
$10 supports legal consultation and advocacy for affected families.
$20 funds awareness campaigns that pressure local leaders to act.
If you’ve ever said, “Someone needs to do something,” — that someone is us. Together, we can rewrite the story for Ohio’s children.
Please donate today to help protect our kids and build a safer, more compassionate future.
