Buy the Lost Farmers Market - Growing Green Storm Recovery

Hello friends, Farmer Nathan here with an update on how our farm fared the recent storm.
Hurricane Helene's impacts are starting to build up here at Growing Green Family Farms. We harvested as much of the farm as we could before the storm, but our cooler lost power and we lost an entire farmer market's worth of produce inside. We tried to get produce to local restaurants and Swamp Rabbit Grocery before they all wilted, but the extensive power outages in the region kept the local restaurants closed for a week or more and it will be a while before things stabilize locally.
On top of a lost harvest and closed restaurants, many of our crops outside the greenhouse took a beating and have wilted. We are trying to get half the farm replanted in the next 2 weeks before we lose enough daylight for them to grow before winter. But with operating on slim margins, we are struggling to maintain hours for our 5 awesome employees.
We've tried reaching out to our local Farm Service Agency, but there are unfortunately no relief programs available for vegetable crop farmers in Anderson County. Our farm is also considered too small for storm relief by the USDA. So the traditional agricultural support channels are unavailable to help us get back on our feet.
We would so appreciate if you would consider buying a portion of the cancelled farmer's market stall that we lost during the power outage to help us bridge the gap between planting new crops and getting steady harvests again.
And for those of you anxiously awaiting the news, my wife and I welcomed our first baby farmer into the world in the middle of storm recovery.
Your donations will help us maintain our amazing farm hands and offset the monthly bills that need to be paid even when crops fail. Thanks for your support!
