Hello, my name is Janelle and I'm making this post on behalf of my dear friends; The Groves family.

On May 16, 2026, what began as a special day celebrating Kyle’s 41st birthday turned into a life-changing event. Kyle and Hunter had just completed a 100-mile motorcycle ride with friends and were heading home with their longtime friend Chris after dinner.

Shortly after 6 PM, the group rode through a brief hailstorm. As the storm cleared, the sudden glare of the sun on the slick roadway made it nearly impossible to see. In those dangerous conditions, Kyle and Hunter missed a curve and lost control, crashing into the center median.

Hunter sustained a broken hand and wrist that will require surgery, along with a fractured leg. Thankfully, he was able to return home the same night and remains in good spirits.

Kyle’s injuries are much more severe. He is facing multiple surgeries to repair damage to his face, clavicle, knee, and leg. The road to recovery will be long and challenging.

While we are incredibly grateful that both Kyle and Hunter are still with us, the financial burden from medical bills, surgeries, and recovery expenses will be significant.
