This science fiction/drama film focuses on themes of love, success, regret and cutting corners. We follow a character named Garrett, who despite never having any prior experience making music, is determined to reach his dreams of being a singer. In order to focus on this dream, he breaks up with his girlfriend Lily, who he feels is holding him back. After the breakup, however, Garrett hits a wall and is getting nowhere with his music because he doesn’t know where to start. He reaches out to a sketchy underground company on the dark web called S.C.O.P.E., who have invented a device that allows people to download specific information into their brains. After the procedure, he makes a song with the knowledge downloaded in his head and performs it. Everyone loves it. However, after the performance, everyone in his life starts to finally acknowledge him only because of the fact he is good at music now. He goes into a spiral as he realizes he has lost his only real connection with anyone in his life.
